Welcome to the official web site of Troop 40!

Located in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Troop 40 has been a part of the Boy Scouts of America for over 90 years and is proud to be the home troop of over 200 Eagle Scouts.

During the summer months (May through September) our meetings are held at Hillandale Park in Harrisonburg, Virginia from 7:00-8:15pm.

Troop 40 Scouts did an outstanding job helping out at Asubury UMC. Scouts moved furniture, organized books, and set up chairs in the aftermath of the Church's storm preparations. Well done all!

2018 Ad Altare Dei Recipients

On August 25, 2018, Boy Scouts that attend Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church received the Ad Altare Dei. This is the religious award for the scouts that are of the Catholic faith. Scouts from Troop 40 that received their awards are Joe Blanton, Liam Chester, Owen Chester, Aiden Keesee, and Chris Syptak.
